Dentists

Clive Pidgeon

BDS (Lond.) GDC 60814

Clive qualified as a dental surgeon from Guy's Hospital Dental School in 1985, gaining The British Undergraduate Restorative Dentistry Prize as well as the Newland Pedley Certificate. He then worked at Guy's in the Department of Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry before joining St Leonards Dental Practice in 1986. He is on the Devon Local Dental Committee and previously has held roles as secretary and Chairman of the local section of the British Dental Association. Clive has also undergone Postgraduate training in Orthodontics and Implantology.

Elizabeth Pidgeon

BDS (Lond.) GDC 60885

Elizabeth qualified as a dental surgeon from Guy's Hospital Dental School in 1985, following in the footsteps of her father who also trained at Guy's. In 1986 she moved to his practice in Exeter where she continues to treat and care for generations of families. She undertakes all aspects of general practice but has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics using Botox.

Elizabeth is a supporting member of the local section of the British Dental Association and Independent Practitioner Group.

Charles Pidgeon

BDS (Lond.) GDC 251063

Charles qualified in 2014 from King’s College London Dental Institute, formerly Guy’s Hospital London, following both Parents and his Grandfather. Upon qualification, he was awarded the Jelf Medal from the Principle of the College for outstanding undergraduate achievement.

Charles completed his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2016. Following working in practice, he spent two years as a surgical trainee in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. It was here that he pursued his keen interest for dento-alveolar surgery.

Charles enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has a passion for Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. He joined St Leonard’s Dental Practice following the family tradition, now becoming the Fourth Generation in his family to provide care for his patients. He is an Executive Committee Member on the National BDA Young Dentists Committee representing young dentists across the UK. Charles also sits on the Local Exeter Section BDA Committee, along with the Devon Local Dental Committee, which represents dentists practicing in primary care in the area.

Charlotte Courtenay-Stamp

BDS (Cardiff) GDC 210510

Charlotte qualified as a dental surgeon from Cardiff University in 2011. She then moved back to Devon to work as a general dental practitioner, following in the family tradition of her grandfather, father and brother. She very much enjoys all aspects of dentistry, in particular the cosmetic side of dentistry and facial aesthetics. She is qualified in both the administration of botox and facial fillers.

Charlotte is a qualified mentor in the Dental Foundation by assessment scheme.

Gemma Hayes

BDS (Cardiff) GDC 153627

Gemma graduated from Cardiff University Dental School in 2008, where she also completed her Vocational Training. She moved to Australia for 2 years, working in Oral Surgery in a Hospital setting then an outreach centre treating the community. Following on from this she joined a Private Practice in Brisbane.

Moving back to Devon, Gemma has worked in Tiverton and now in Exeter for more than 8 years. She undertakes all aspects of dentistry, but especially enjoys family care.

Hygienists

Emily Wright

Emily has worked as a dental nurse since 2007 gaining her Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2009.She has worked both in General Dental Practice and at the RD&E hospital. This led to her to wanting to undertake further dental training as a Hygienist and she graduated from Portsmouth University in 2019. She is very empathic and caring towards her patients and enjoys meeting people.
